FASKOLOR BEIGE 60 ML.

Water-based, non-toxic airbrush paint is specially formulated for clear polycarbonate surfaces. FASKOLOR remains flexible and resists cracking, chipping and most impact damage. It can be used for any other modeling or hobby project, simply top coat with clear enamel for a gloss finish when complete.

Faskolor is used straight from the bottle unthinned, but possessing as it does the consistency of a good custard needs high pressure (40 to 70 psi) to propel it out of the airbrush. Difference number one.

Application is the same as other paints, ie light coats, but for each coat to dry water has to evaporate as opposed to a solvent so the drying time is greatly increased. Solution...use a hair dryer and the time is back to the same if not faster than solvents. Difference number two.

Finally, once fully "cured"(this takes about 24 hours) the paint is reasonably resistant to water and fuel, but should the body be likely to be exposed at length to either it really is advisable to give it a final coat of either a fuel proofer like Nitro Block which will resist both or in the case of just water a solvent based paint.

These are really the only differences in comparison to solvent based paints, but being water based brings advantages too. Cleaning paintbrushes (the plain colours can be quite successfully applied with a brush) and airbrushes can be done primarily in warm water with just a little Fastclean being blasted through the airbrush at the finish. The stuff is non toxic so it's much safer for all to use, especially children, and it has virtually no smell. It can be applied alongside most other paints, we've tried it with most of the popular ones without problem, but the advice should always remain to try a test patch on a small scrap first.

Faskolor is great on polycarbonate bodies with good covering, adhesion and resistance to cracking and peeling but it can be used on loads of other surfaces like plastic, wood and fired ceramics
