The RDRP Ultra Cap Catcher is a simple but genius mount that holds separated speed controller capacitors such as found on Vampire Racing , Novak or LRP speedos . It is machined from a piece of high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and holds capacitors with a diameter of up to 15mm.
Instead of having the capacitor unsightly attached using cable ties or large amounts of double-sided tape, the capacitors is fixed using a single layer of tape and the Ultra Cap Catcher mounted near the controller or wherever it may suit your needs.
The large surface for both the capacitor and the chassis mounting area makes for secure fastening without having to worry about loosened caps anymore. Small dimensions help to always find a place for the Ultra Cap Catcher even in crowded 1/10 scale touring cars.
The Ultra Cap Catcher is best used with larger diameter capacitors but also works just perfect with smaller caps thanks to the crescent-shaped design.
When the cap is installed with heat-conductive tape the black anodised mount also acts as a heat sink.
